J. Hood Wright Park at 173rd and Haven Ave., one block from Riverside Drive.

|
178th and Pinehurst, about a block from the uptown Port Authority Bus Terminal and the George Washington Bridge. Next recommended stop for bikers unless you proceed uptown to Fort George: The Croton Water Tower (see separate tour). Just go to Amsterdam Ave. and then to 175th and turn in at the park. |

|
This is overlooking High Bridge Park from Edgecombe Ave. Edgecombe follows the park from 155th to 170th, where it meets up with Amsterdam Avenue. The park is fenced off here. The Harlem River is below. Next recommended stop for bikers if you're coming from Croton Tower: The Morris-Jumel Mansion at 160th-162nd and Edgecombe Ave. (See separate tour). |

This and the remaining photos are of or by 155th Street.
I'm SORRY I don't have REPRESENTATIVE photos of the many Washington Heights neighborhoods yet. |

| High Bridge Park at 155th Street. The Greenway around Manhattan has not been completed, and you must detour at 155th when going south. There are bike route signs and lanes provided for bicycles. |

You can get to Yankee Stadium from the same corner via Macombs Dam Bridge,

a very long bridge.

Final crossing. The river on the east side of Manhattan,
known as the Harlem River here, is called the East River farther downtown. |
