Uptown from Broadway and 98th. We'll continue uptown from here.

at 99th and Broadway. This was the snowstorm of February 2006 that broke
all previous NYC records. The snow was mostly packed down by this time.

On the other side of 100th is the Metro, a Greek
restaurant that does a booming business 18 hours a day. |
You'll find Mexican food at Mama' Mexico on 102nd.
It's has a very decorative interior with hand painted murals. The mariachi
band that plays on many nights is too loud for me in such close quarters,
however, but it doesn't seem to bother other people. |
Cafe du Soleil, a French restaurant, is another popular spot.

The Post Office on 104th between Broadway and Amsterdam
The American Youth Hostel on Amsterdam between 103rd
and 104th. There are some moderately priced places to stay (for New York)
on the Upper West Side, and parking garages are less expensive here than
in midtown. |
Back on Broadway: That's Henry's, another indoor-outdoor restaurant on 105th.
