Visual Guided Tours of New York City

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

The main Lincoln Center campus extends from 62nd to 66th street, but the newer Jazz at Lincoln Center is in the Time-Warner complex at 60th and Broadway.

Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall from Broadway and 63rd. The Lincoln Plaza cinema is behind me. It has six screens that show foreign and independent films.

Dante Park, Manhattan

Dante Park is across the street from Lincoln Center.

Left to right: The New York State Theater, where the New York City Opera and Ballet perform; The Metropolitan Opera; and Avery Fisher Hall, home of the New York Philharmonic. Photo taken from Broadway. A campus of Fordham University is next to the State Theater.

Lincoln Center Fountain and Plaza

Alice Tully Hall

The Juilliard School of Music is between 65th and 66th. Juilliard's Alice Tully Hall is a major recital hall in New York City. It will never look like this again, however, since the front is being extended.

The Metropolitan Opera House

The Metropolitan Opera from plaza area behind Avery Fisher Hall. Continue right to get to the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts, Vivian Beaumont Theater and The Mitzi E. Newhouse Theatre.

Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts

The Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts has the red poster. The theaters are behind the reflecting pool sculpture. These buildings extend all the way to 10th Avenue (Amsterdam).

Next to the Lincoln Center theaters

Facing the Metropolitan Opera. I'm next to the Juilliard walkway over 65th.

The New York State Theater

Avery Fisher Hall and The NY State Theater

The Juilliard School of Music

The Juilliard School of Music is across the street, beyond the steps.

Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center

Behind the New York State Theater is a large plaza and performance space, i.e. a band shell, but it is farther left here.

Lincoln Center fountain

Lincoln Center Christmas tree and fountain. Betty Friedan lived in the building behind it.

Broadway angel
Leaving Lincoln Center, you may notice an angel over Broadway, which rises above the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints.

Lincoln Center from Broadway

The skyscraper behind Dante Park is the Time-Warner building between 58th and 60th. Avery Fisher Hall is shown at center, with Alice Tully Hall to its right.
