We'll' head downtown to Lincoln Center, just a few blocks away.

171 W. 71st Street, just east of Broadway. Home to
conductor Gregg Smith of the Greg Smith Singers, among others. I've attended
parties here. |

Can't get enough of this terra cotta!

Same building, Broadway side. How French is that? Or is it Austrian?

69th Street east of Broadway

| W. 69th from Columbus Avenue, just one block east of Broadway at this point. (Amsterdam is west of Broadway until 72nd.) |

Looking north from 68th and Columbus. We'll stop by a deli buffet here.

New York has many buffets where you can find a great
variety of nutritious foods, but not many of these are on the Upper West
Side. I'm glad for this one. Join me at Tucker Square on 66th for lunch. |

Broadway looking south from 68th Street. The skyscraper
in the middle is Time-Warner. |

This old arsenal is now a part of ABC television
studios on West 66th, Peter Jennings Way, off Tucker Square. ABC practically
occupies this entire block, and has a presence on several blocks around
here. |

Tucker Square, where you see the pumpkins, is across
from Lincoln Center. It was named for the opera singer Richard Tucker,
also well known as a cantor. ABC has studios and offices throughout this
area. You'll see some of them on W. 66th (Peter Jennings Way) between
Amsterdam and Central Park West. |

| The farmers' market was there the day I had my lunch. Juilliard's Alice Tully Hall across the street ("Lincoln Center" sign) is being renovated. |

The farmers markets at Tucker Square, 65th-66th at
Broadway and Columbus, is one of Manhattan's smaller farmers markets.
Tables and chairs are at the far end. |
