The West Side Highway (called the Henry Hudson Parkway farther uptown), is on the other side of the garden.

If you want to go to the marina and Boat Basin Cafe from here, you can do so easily. Follow this path for 1-2 blocks after you pass the garden (going downtown). Just look for the hill down towards the river, go under that underpass and head to the marina's gate. The cafe is opposite it.
