Central Park's Cherry Hill
We turned at the information booth for the 72nd street crosstown drive.
Don't miss the Falconer across the road from the
information booth where the 72nd crosstown street intersects with the
west drive. |
This is Cherry Hill, which I called Lamppost Plaza before I found it on my map!
You get to Cherry Hill on this little road to the
north as you head across 72nd, not far from the Falconer. |
Cherry Hill Fountain. The lake is straight ahead.
Bow Bridge is just down the hill and a bit to the
right. You can get to the ramble from it. |
This view gives you an idea of the lake's size. The wood
shelter and Hernshead are in the distance. |
There's a little path and lovely hill behind the narcissus. Let's go there.
We're near Bow Bridge between Cherry Hill and Bethesda Fountain.
