Central Park
Hernshead

West 75th, four short blocks south of the Swedish Cottage. There are 19-20 short blocks (numbered streets) to a mile.

Hernshead boulder

The Hernshead entrance is easy to miss. This picture of Hernshead's tip was taken near the wood shelter by the lake, just south of Hernshead's entrance.

Wood shelter

Photograph of the wooden shelter taken from Hernshead. My string quartet played for the dedication of the shelter many years ago, before it was moved from Hernshead to that spot.

Ramble and Lake

Boating in Central Park

And to the east we have more of the Ramble.

Views of Central Park South

The park's southern boundary is 59th street, called Central Park South when next to the park.
