Bethesda Fountain, Terrace, Boathouse, Lake
72nd-73rd street near the middle of the park
Steps to the Terrace and Bethesda Fountain. Upper
level is next to the 72nd crosstown road. |
The Loeb Boathouse is visible from the end of the Terrace.
You can rent bicycles, rowboats and gondolas there as well as enjoy a
Zagat-rated meal. (The Zagat Guide rates restaurants in terms of food,
price, service, ambience, etc.) Entrance is near E. 72nd. |

The steps are quite lovely.
The just finished renovations, so contruction materials have been removed by now.
This was taken from the "balcony" between the staircases.
A performance at the bottom of the steps had just let out when this was taken.
