Inside the Zoo

Yes, it's real.

There are also llamas, rabbits, many more ducks, and some other fowl.

As well as these little creatures. Now it's on to the Conservation Center.

Sea Lions

Don't miss the one on the left dozing off!

The penguin exhibit and the tropical rainforest were
the highlights for me. The penguins swim right up to you and seem to be
smiling! Although the two penguin types here are from Antarctica, the
light mimics the light at the North Pole. The November lighting creates
green photographs. |

Polar bear

Mandarin ducks

Painted turtles. Other species in this outdoor area
include a red panda (sleeping in a tree and not posing for photographs),
some otters, migratory visitors and a few other animals. |

Snow monkey

Inside the tropical rainforest

The sloth, which lives its life upside down hanging
by its claws, goes right past within reach. |

The animals move around so much, it's hard to photograph
them. There are MANY kinds of birds here. |

Some animals are behind glass. There are a number
of endangered species, many from Madagascar. |

We received a misty spray now and then.
